Art, writing, and music are things that are a constant in my life. They are like oxygen to me, I need them as much as my lungs need air.
How old are you and what's your zodiac sign?
I am currently 32 years old and I am a Gemini Sun, Cancer rising, Scorpio Moon.
Yes I am an astrology girl but no I don't blame everything on someone's sign. Sometimes people just suck lmao
What disabilities do you have?
I have hypermobile Elhers-Danlos syndrome (hEds), meaning that all the tissues that keep my body together don't do their job. I have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) which means when I do pretty much anything my heart rate goes crazy and sometimes out of rhythm and I pass out a lot but not everyone passes out from this disorder.
Autism and ADHD run in my family and I have the lovely combination of both which impacts every part of my life in different ways.
C-PTSD is an unfortunate consequence of a hard childhood and young adult life but my healing journey is something I am very proud of because I have worked hard for it.
None of these things define me and I am more than the parts of me. I do however have a lot of kindness and love for myself to do what I have to do to succeed. Whether that is pulling a chair over to do the dishes or allow myself to rest and try again tomorrow.

Why Miss Maddie's Studio?
As far back as I can remember, I have loved telling stories, making art, and singing. They are a way to regulate and keep myself calm. Or process the emotions of whatever I'm dealing with. It's the only way to keep my head from buzzing so loudly.
Miss Maddie's Studio is my brand, ONE place where I can put all of my passions. My art, my comics, my books, my music and any other hobby my little crow heart desires. I can slap that one name on it and anyone who wants to see my work, sees all of me.
I've never been able to stick with one thing. Even now I have a YouTube video playing just so I can focus enough to create this website. This has been both a blessing and a curse in my life. For my art and novels, this means that sometimes I create beautiful nature or terrifying monsters, slow burn romances or psychological horror, and everything in between.
I love jumping from genre to genre, and I especially love mashing genres together. A slow burn romance with a survival dinosaur twist. A historical demon story that goes throughout history and takes you for a gory roller coaster ride. Or even a fairy tale retelling that you will never see coming.
This is what bring passion and joy to my life and I knew I wanted one place for all that chaos to land. And that is Miss Maddie's Studio.
What is your upcoming novel?
My current novel is N for Not Human, my historical horror. N is a body jumping entity who has a very particular set of standards. There is nothing he loves more than ripping lush family trees out by their roots and he loves to make the matriarch of the family deliver the final blow. We follow N through his "Greatest Hits" as he introduces you to how he met and ultimately ended each of his "Special Ladies". Listen to his tales if you dare but be warned, you have to resist his charm at all costs.
N is Astarion (Baldur's Gate 3) meets Hannibal Lector with a twist of something entirely his own. He is cheeky, charming, twisted, and is a complete egomaniac.
This story is heavy on the gore and includes death of children, pregnant women, women, and men of all age on page. There are racial and homophobic slurs used in the book but they are purposefully censored. This book goes from 1619 to present day and deals with a lot of histories darknesses and injustices.
N does not have a human form, his physical form is black smoke. But if he DID have a human form the portrait below is how he would look.
What is your current comic?
Currently I have two comics I'm working on simultaneously. The first is A Day In A Field. It is a silent comic that highlights how beautiful nature and animals are. The first comic is the day in a field, but eventually I want to have a day and night for all of the different ecosystems.
The other comic is FLUFF, my sapphic love story between Carlotta, an artist sunshine character and Camilla, her punk rock partner. We go through them meeting as kids to now where they live together and have little normal life struggles. This is kind of slice of life but it is told sometimes in chapters and sometimes with illustrations with poems or love notes on them. The book is to celebrate love.

Rough Draft Challenge
In the month of November 2025, I am participated in Sarra Cannon's Rough Draft Challenge. This is her version of NaNoWriMo, or however you spell it lol. It went extremely well and Cinder and Ash is about 70% written now. Check out the webpage for further updates.
Children Book Line
I am currently working on a line of children's books that will be animal based but it a cute watercolor illustrated style.
Tigers Don't Take Naps is about Tommy the tiger cub who tries to convince his mom that he doesn't need to nap while getting too tired to fight anymore.
Pigs Don't Take Baths is about Peggy the piglet who does NOT want to take a bath and gives her father a run for his money trying to get her clean.
NO! is about a terrible toddler tantrum but Hank the Hedgehog that his mom helps him work through. All about big emotions and how to feel your way through them
Middle Grade Book Series
Sparkles and Scales is about Ember and Flint two disabled young dragons who find friendship and adventure with each other. Ember was involved in an accident when she was little that caused her left wing and leg to be disfigured, she can not fly and she has to use a special walker to be able to walk around. Flint is a blind orphan who lost her parents and just arrived to Ember's town to live with her grandma.
Anything else?
I have a HUGE backlog of stories and story ideas that I am constantly working on. This is part of the reason I am trying to write a first draft in one month. If I can do that, I can start churning out my books.
Also, I started doing something else that I've always wanted to do; help people!
I'm creating a series of workbooks, planners, trackers, and all sorts of other digital products that are meant to help people work through their goals and help plan their lives. I love creating these types of documents and I love helping people. It's the best of both worlds for me.
I restarted my Etsy shop and I also have a shop set up on this site. The Etsy is also MissMaddiesStudio and right now it is all digital products.
