Today has been a little all over the place. The morning wasn't very fun because people like to cop attitudes for no real reason. I swear some people just HAVE to be miserable and will do whatever they can to make themselves that way every day.
If I'm in a bad mood, I try to distract myself or use the emotions to work on some creative thing so that it is worked through. I used to ruminate on things really badly. Like I wouldn't let anything go and it would hurt with the same intensity as the moment it happened. I realized that it was really damaging to myself and I have done what I can to stop doing that. So now when I see my loved ones doing it, and not listening to me when I try to help, it's frustrating. Especially when the people doing it are being mean to me or saying jerky things about my kid or pets. Easiest way to get on my bad side is to talk shit about my loved ones, especially my son.
But then they apologized for their mood and things have been a bit better throughout the day. I took a chance and made myself share my story in some author groups on substack. I've already gotten a few new subscribers from it! I'm going to try to keep it up. See if I can find any more groups on the app that I can share myself with, maybe I'll even make a few more author friends out of the process.
Chapter 2 of IBOS is going very well. I finished the dog fight with the pirates and now I'm at the part where Priah got hurt so I'm already close to the end of this chapter. Like seriously I only have her getting yelled at by the council to write out and Ari talking about how damaged the ship got in the process. I think it's coming along well. This chapter is much more action packed than the first chapter, since the first one was just introducing our babies and their situation . Now we get to get into the fun bits. I also added some more bits of the religion in this chapter which is very fun.
I completely finished the sketch of my anniversary gift for my hubby and I did the ink test on another page and yeeeeeaaaaaah just as I thought this paper LOVES to smudge lol. I mean it's a super smooth paper so that's why I had a feeling it would be a super smudgy paper. So now I have to change up my illustration routine and it's really throwing me off, you know cus of the autism lol. I'm so used to doing sketch, ink, color, that just knowing i need to do it sketch, color, ink, is making me tweak out a little. Like literally to the point that I decided I'm going to "ink" in color pencil first and then color it and then ink it lmao. I'm actually pretty impressed with myself with this fan art lol well it's because I'm doing it traditionally and using reference pictures for it and it's coming out almost perfectly. Like surprisingly good lol. I'll have to share it on my socials when it's complete.
Speaking of things that need to be completed, my damned crochet blanket!!!!! I just HAD to pick a decorative scallop shaped row to do next, I just HAD to want a pretty decorative border for these last few rows... I'm not even down with the first half of the first side and I've been working on it for HOURS. Usually I am so fast with crocheting, but now the blanket is getting really big and the this stitch is SO LONG but it's so pretty lol. And it is needed as the base for this lace looking trim that I wanted to make. I'm also making it up as I go lmao but it's fine, it's fine, I'll get through it eventually. I really REALLY tried to get it done this weekend but it's already 1am on Monday morning so I don't think I'm going to be able to finish it. I want to write now so I'll probably end up doing that for the rest of the night.
That's actually what I'm going to go do right now, write a little of all of my different projects. I'm feeling chatty tonight and I might as well use it for good lmao.
