One hundred and sixty days of this blog, my house in the closing process, my Substack starting to get more and more popular, and now my first draft for Cinder and Ash is complete! Fully complete, like even the epilogue is written complete!
I knew this year was going to be crazy, I knew the year of the Fire Horse (yes I believe in all that astrology stuff, I'm a witch what do you expect lol) was going to bring about great forward movement and progression. But I guess I still wasn't ready for how wonderfully forward things were going to go!
Cinder and Ash ended up being 30 chapters, which is exactly how much I thought it would be, and it's 250 pages and 71,316 words! I know that is going to change after I go through the first edit but I am so happy with those numbers for this type of story. I think that is honestly the perfect spot to be, not too long and not too short.
That's four writing projects finished in the last week, if anyone's counting lol. I'm counting, it's me hahaha.
Speaking of my writing things, they are all doing quite well on Substack! Which I have 16 subscribers as of today! I still can't find a spot that tells you how many followers you have because I have gotten a lot of those too, but oh well, I'm so happy with it. Every day I'm commenting on other people's posts too and sharing my things. That way they will get to as many people as possible. I hope I'm not being annoying but who really cares. I just want to share my works. I keep having people give me compliments on my writing and it gives me so much dopamine. LOL.
I'm working well on IBOS chapter three so far, and I started Lavender Letters last night! I am working through a plot of another book that is my first thriller story. That's been super fun too. I love creating stories and characters, and plots. Oh how I love plotting books! It is so much fun to work through all of the ins and outs of stories lol, this is why I have so many story ideas written down. I think I have three or four notebooks full of story ideas just waiting for me to dive into their worlds. I can't wait, I think that's why I started writing multiple books at the same time. I need to make these stories real so I can read them lol.
Let's see, what else... I think that might be it. I've just been working on my little projects and making my dreams happen one task at a time.
Tomorrow my family asked if I would make everyone pizza for dinner so that will fill my evening. I guess I should get a good night's sleep so I can have a full day of work before making the doughs and what not.
