Day 228: Rest Day (Or was it?)

Today was kind of a day off. 

Except I did a bunch of cleaning, made 12 sub rolls, did a bunch of dishes, made food for people a bunch of times, and moved boxes, then half made a curtain for my kitchen window. I also walked the dogs a few times and did laundry, and broke down a bunch of boxes because tomorrow is garbage/recycling day.

So, it didn't really feel like a relaxing day AND I didn't do the main thing I wanted to do which was working on my art gallery piece. Phil says I'll have enough time but I really wanted to start painting it today. I know I'll have enough time... it's only ink and acrylic paint, that is a fast medium. And I have an annoying ass headache now and I want to finish this blog and go to bed. 

The sub rolls came out okay, I think maybe I needed to add a little more flour this time but they still taste really good and are soft. I finished writing a new substack essay which will post in the morning. I think I'm going to make egg salad tomorrow to go with some of those sub rolls. Everyone in my house LOVES egg salad and we are pretty low on food at the moment so it's a win/win. 

I think I might do a little more writing tonight... or maybe not I'm having a hard time looking at the screen. I think I'll finish what I was working on and then go to bed.
