Day 378: A Pretty Good Day

Published on September 24, 2026 at 11:09 PM

Today has been pretty great.

I got a lot accomplished. I woke up at 7:45am and got all of my morning stuff done. Then I had to take a little nap at 11am until 1pm. Then I painted a bunch of the entryway and cabinets. I wrote in both Cinder and Ash and IBOS, and I started writing Survive the Fall in a notebook that I made. It's a small notebook in length but it is large in size, I can always print more pages out until I run our of paper.

I did dishes and cleaned the kitchen floor, I made a huge batch of chicken salad for me and the family. It came out really good and it was a huge labor of love because I hand shredded the chicken. It took like an hour because it was so much chicken. It tastes pretty good though. Next time I want to just use canned though lol.

I took a nice walk, OH and I have actual tomatoes in my garden! Like little green bud babies! I am so excited to have them! Also there are a bunch of flowers on there that should all turn into tomatoes too! And more pumpkin flowers, maybe I'll put that black veil over it to protect them from predators. I think that would be really smart actually. I'll do that tonight because I'm going to be pissed if I lose my babies before they grow to full size.

I also made a new cover for The Things That Haunt Me on canva that I'm pretty happy with. I also submitted part one of T3HM to that magazine. I would love to keep that happening. Can you imagine? That would be so awesome to be published in a magazine. I've been submitting a lot to a lot of places lately and I really hope one of them gets chosen. I know it's a lot of people submitting but I can dream.

I feel very accomplished today even with the nap that I took. I have decided to let myself nap when I need and have no guilt about my body needing rest. It makes it better because I get the rest and then when I get up, I'm full of energy and ready to get things done. Win-win.
