Today was my niece's birthday party and it went really well!
My sister threw a great party for her at the park and she seemed to have a really great time. She even loved the painting I gave her so I'm happy too.
I then came home and made 2 pizzas because that's what we were all craving. Then I took a nap because I needed one. Though I only slept for like an hour, if that. Then I did some writing and painted the background for a new painting. I want to replace the painting that I gave to my niece because it was one of my favorite paintings but the thing I was making her would have been way too fragile. I'm glad she liked it and it gives me an excuse to make a better version of it. This one is the same width but twice the length so I can make a lot more roses on this one. And switch up the sizes and colors a little. I know exactly what I want to do differently this time around so I'm looking forward to it.
Phil is going to bed early so I feel like it will be a good time for me to get some writing done but my brain isn't cooperating. I think mostly because my brain wants to write Surviving the Fall and I both want to do that on paper and on my laptop. Maybe I should write up the scenes that I have written out right now into a word document and see where that brings me.
I love the way I'm starting this book, like seriously love. Maybe this should be my debut novel. I mean I love Cinder and Ash too but maybe this one should be the one I do. I don't know. Maybe I'm just doing that thing again where the one thing isn't giving me the dopamine so I want to switch paths to one that gives me dopamine. I don't know what I should do honestly. I mean, it's not life or death here, I'll write some of both and I'll see what happens. I'll start with typing up the scenes I've written. I am really happy with what I did so far. It is great and really attention catching.
