Day 390: A Really Fun Day

Today has been a great and fun day.

First, I was woken up at 5:30am by my pets. Which most would be like "How is that the start to a great day?" but it was my cat Trixie who woke me up, and then all of the sudden my little girl Christy, who hasn't willingly come up on the bed in a month and a half, was on the bed! And stayed and cuddled for a few hours until I got up to go to the bathroom. I couldn't fall back asleep so I got up and did my morning ritual. I stayed up for about an hour and then I was super tired so I went back to sleep for two hours.

It was the perfect little nap and then I got up and went up to my sister's house and hung out until Mom came and got us. We got coffee and I got a bagel and a piece of basque cheese cake. We had a fun time hanging out and then I got to see most of the kiddos and then I came back home.

Then I finished reading the save the cat book and taking all my notes. It's a good book and has a ton of useful advice in it. I have been writing a bunch of beat sheets for my story ideas. I even wrote a new story idea in the beat sheet style. I'm hooked lol It's so easy and honestly it's flexible enough for each different story that I have. It's a formula but it doesn't make formulaic stories. I still haven't moved it from beat sheet to actually writing the story but I guess that's the next step.

I wrote a lot in Cinder and Ash today, well I guess not a lot but a decent amount. I think I might try to write a little more tonight. Try to get a little farther into chapter 7. Luckily, my first draft is good enough that I can take some bits and pieces and put them into the new draft. Some scenes needed a little tweaking or adding a scene or two but it is so good.

Tomorrow is a new day and it's the first day that I don't have things planned for. That means I can focus on reading, note taking, and writing. Which is awesome. Well, and I should probably get some cleaning done. I'm sick of my kitchen being a disgusting and no one helping me with it. Everyone just expects me to clean and not help out and that gets OLD. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day.
