I may have had a weird ass nightmare last night full of these long stretchy human-like creatures that had distorted faces and screeched and tore people a part, but today has been a good day.
It was a very chill day where I was able to create the whole religion for my sci-fi story because they are a colony and they dropped all Earth's religions while creating their new home. And so I wanted to make a little pantheon of my own. I forced myself to keep it pretty small, there's only eight of them.
I also crocheted a bit more of my blanket today. I got pretty far with it but no where near finishing it. Gods I've been trying to complete it for like three weeks now but it keeps getting bigger and bigger, and taking longer than I expected. I have no real idea how long it's going to take to finish it but I hope soon. I want to use it while it's still cold as hell in Florida and that's not going to last too much longer lol.
I did the grocery order for tomorrow and I'm planning on making some stuff that I'm really excited about. I'm gonna try my hand at making a couple soups, broccoli cheddar and a bean soup are the two I have planned. I'm going to make chicken wings, and cheddar biscuits, and chocolate mousse, and some cupcakes, muffins, and blueberry pancakes. I have a lot of plans lol. I've been trying to motivate myself to cook more by getting things that excite me to cook, or things I know I will always want to eat. Like chicken wings. I also try to pair a dessert thing with a savory thing to make myself cook more than bake. Because I LOVE to bake but I want to get more serious about my cooking too. I've never actually made chicken wings before and they are way too expensive (and usually flabby) to order out. I'm a grown woman, a very good cook, I should be able to make them at home!
I did a bit of editing for chapter one of In Between Our Stars. I've been waffling about if I want this chapter to really be chapter one or change it to chapter two because originally I thought I would make the first scene of the book a pirate fight. But when I started writing it, it came out very different. I think this is a true introduction to the main characters and a little overview of what is at stake with their mission.
I had a new idea for the home page of my website here but I'm not sure I know how to code it in. I mean I'm sure I could figure it out, I always do, but that seems like a project that I shouldn't be trying to do right after claiming to my hubby that I was going to go to sleep lmao. I think Imma do it anyways lmao.
