Day 203: Chaos

Published on April 2, 2026 at 10:40 PM

Today started off with chaos and kinda went the whole day up and down and zigging and zagging, ya know what I mean?

I woke up to one of the cats knocking down my second batch of seeds. I almost had a meltdown because the dirt was EVERYWHERE and so were my little babies trying to survive in spite of their torture. After I had about a 15 second freak out, I scooped up all of the dirt and seedlings that I could find and put them back. I guess the strongest will survive lol. There is a BUNCH of them that sprouted which makes me really happy because it's all the tomatoes and snow peas and sweet pea flowers. But now I don't know what tomato sprouts are what but that will be a fun surprise to get when they finish growing lol.

I'm trying to be more go with the flow, which I am already pretty chill as is. But if this had happened a few weeks ago I would have had a complete meltdown and not been able to get passed it. Today it was a small nonsense bullshit event that I was able to remedy and the sprouts are back to growing. And like I said, the strongest will survive.

Then I took the dogs out for a walk and my brother in law came driving by basically saying that he made my sister mad and then drove off. So I went and checked on her and that turned into my mom coming over and all of us going out to Starbucks which was fun.

My afternoon and evening has gone up and down too. Fighting one moment and then people all loving and sweet a little later. I hate the up and down of it all sometimes, but what can I do.

I've been resting now because I can't stand up straight anymore from my damn back but I once again got quite a bit done. We have a few errands and things to do tomorrow but for the most part it will be another day of me working on my house and fixing it up to be the nice home I know it can be. The rest I'm doing is crocheting my newest blanket, which I'm just about done with the first skein! I love the yarn I picked, it is the softest yarn I've literally ever felt and it is working up so nicely.

So, now I'm going to go back to that and trying to relax for the rest of the night. Then back at it again tomorrow.
