Today has been a good, productive kind of day.
I started off by calling a locksmith and setting up to get new locks and a deadbolt installed. They'll be here tomorrow. I managed to do a couple loads of laundry but my washing machine is ridiculously off balanced and keeps knocking the dryer venting tube off of the wall! So I had to move that and try to fix the dryer venting tube, which had a huge hole ripped in it, and trying to use something to balance the washing machine. I noticed that the feet on the machine are not all at the same spot and that's definitely not helping, or might be the whole problem. I'm also doing smaller loads because that is definitely not going to help the situation.
I also hung one of the curtains, I really have to do the rest but I was happy to get the main living room one done in the very least. The last house renovation thing I want to do tonight is do a little more painting and wall prep. Maybe unpack a little more. Maybe I'll save unpacking for another day. Currently I'm painting things above dog height because I don't trust Chucky to not lay against the wet wall again. and it is NOT FUN clean that off of a white dog who hates baths.
Speaking of dog baths, I had to give both of them flea baths yesterday in my shower and man was that weird. Like it was kinda easier because I have a handheld shower head in this shower but the dogs hated the shower head and they were trying to run away the whole time and they could because there was no bathtub walls to stop them. They didn't actually get away from me but they sure tried a lot lol. They are funny little critters. In retaliation, Evie destroyed my computer cable, so I guess she showed me.
Tomorrow I have a lot of stuff to do so I am planning on getting up sometime between 9 and 10, that way I am up and doing things if the locksmith comes in the morning. I also have an appointment at 2pm. I also get a BUNCH of packages tomorrow for house things aaaaaaaand my garden bed! I get my really nice raised garden bed on legs and the dirt coming tomorrow so I get to replant my sprouts into their big home which is great because I now have three or four pea plants that are now 8 inches tall and they need a place to grow bigger now. I got some trellises but they don't come until the 15th so I'm going to have to give them a temp support for now. Maybe some of my twine or that rubber line that I have would probably work for now. I also realized that I bought a jalapeno and some black berries and all that says to me is free seeds lol. I don't know how much my current sprouts are going to be able to fill up the bed I got so I wanted to add some more stuff anyways, why not source it from some food I already bought?
Maaaaaan it's already 11pm, I'm tired, and I need to get up earlier tomorrow. I'm not going to paint or do any other house stuff tonight. I'll work in the morning, that will be a good idea. I'm going to do a face mask, crochet my blanket, watch some youtube videos with Phil and go to bed soon.
Tomorrow is a new day.
