I couldn't think of a name for today's blog. It's been a very all over the place day and I feel lost a little. Not sure why.
Maybe it's because I took a pregnancy test today and it was negative, but I still feel weird and I'm still late. If I am still late next week, I'll take another test. Phil told me that he was disappointed that it was negative. We aren't actively trying or anything, in this economy? But we are open to it happening and I needed to not be on birth control because it was messing with my autoimmune disorder so yeah.
We had a bunch of the kids over today and that always makes me so happy. Just hearing the laughing and fun that they having makes me so, so happy. His friends are really awesome kids and of course I love having my nieces and nephew over, though I end up seeing my eldest two nieces the most because they can walk back and forth between our houses by themselves. I also love that they all go on walks around the neighborhood and that it's safe enough that they can walk around the neighborhood.
I got some good things done today though. I finished the sketches for both of my super important art pieces. My sister's birthday commission came out amazing so far. I LOVE the sketch I managed. It's a Nightmare Before Christmas family portrait and I am so so SO happy with it so far. I did the sketch for my art gallery piece too and that I am pretty happy with. Except for the swirls of the curly hair, I might erase some of that and redo it. It looks a little smaller than I planned and just off. Great thing about a sketch is that you can rework the piece as many times as you need to.
I also scheduled the first part of The Things That Haunt Me to post of substack for tomorrow morning. And I took out the next section to edit because I want to get that up as soon as I can because part one technically doesn't have that much ghost stuff that happens.
